Blackburn Rovers are going cold over Marseille defender Renato Civelli.

The Lancashire Telegraph says Civelli has been watched by Rovers but, despite being available on a free transfer, his high wages mean the club are unlikely to further their interest.

The 6ft 4ins defender has impressed Allardyce's scouts but, with Givet, Ryan Nelsen, Chris Samba and Zurab Khizanishvili, it is thought the wages for Civelli would be better spent elsewhere.
