QPR striker Djibril Cisse has told teammates they can't rely on reputations in this season's dogfight.

European Cup winner Cisse is just one of a number of high-profile players in the QPR squad with the likes of Julio Cesar, Park Ji-sung and Jose Bosingwa also boasting Champions League winners' medals.

But the former Liverpool forward knows that former achievements and reputations count for nothing at the present time.

"No disrespect to the other teams, but we don't belong there and we are doing everything to ensure we don't remain there.

"Football is won on the pitch though. It's not the names, it's not the talking. It is down to us to deliver when we play.

"We are playing some very good football at the moment, but we're just not scoring enough goals or keeping clean sheets. Once we correct that, I am sure we will be fine."
