On-loan Marseille striker Djibril Cisse says he wants to sign permanently with Sunderland.

"I'm a very faithful person," said Cisse. "If you help me, I will help you in return.

"Sunderland helped me by giving me the chance to play in the Premiership again and if they want to sign me, I will come.

"For the moment I am here and I will wait and see whether the club wants to make a proposal, but it's still early days.

"It's probably not the right time to talk about it with the club at the moment.

"It all depends on my performances. But if I play well and score a lot of goals, then why not?"
