French striker Djibril Cisse is eager to remain at Sunderland and hopes the club can meet Marseille's demands to buy him on a permanent deal.
Cisse is currently on loan with the Black Cats and his contract at the Stadium of Light expires in May both the player and club would like to make the deal a long-term one.
"If Sunderland pay my buy-out clause, I will stay here," Cisse told TF1 in regards to the buy-out clause in his contract.
Sunderland would have to pay Marseille £10 million pounds to secure the 27-year olds services permanently.
