Cisse hopes Newcastle can work themselves out of the mire

Papiss Cisse is urging Newcastle United to continue working hard in order for their fortunes to turn.

The Magpies are struggling in the bottom three of the Premier League without a win from seven matches so far this season which has brought about unrest from the fans.

Large sections of the Toon faithful want manager Alan Pardew out so have organized a series of protests over the past weeks which Cisse admits is having a negative effect on the players.

"Yes, I know this moment is not easy for him," Cisse said regarding Pardew.

"The team don't think about that one (protests) because the players just play.

"It is for the gaffer, but it's not good for the team.

"It's not easy for the players because it is the player playing the game.

"You have to believe in yourself and believe in the team.

"You have to keep going and work hard and maybe one day it will come good."
