Papiss Cisse is delighted with his decision to move to Newcastle United.
Cisse, 26, has explained how he arrived on Tyneside in a whirlwind January move from Freiburg.
He said: "I knew Alan Pardew wanted me but since I don't speak English I didn't speak on the phone.
"It's when we arrived that we managed to talk to him with my agent.
"Because I was leaving for the African Nations Cup, Pardew prepared a DVD to show me the team's style of play. I watched it every evening.
"Newcastle's style suits me. Everyone likes Ben Arfa on the wing, Cabaye gives me some amazing passes and there's Demba Ba, who spoke a lot about the club."
