Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse dedicated his winner against Crystal Palace to manager Alan Pardew.
Cisse said the players won it for Pardew, who was serving the penultimate game of his three match stadium ban.
He said: "It was a good win.
"Yesterday the gaffer spoke to all of the players and said we should definitely take three points.
"It was good for the team and good for the staff.
"The team gave these three points for the gaffer and said thank you for his speech yesterday."
