Cisse calm regarding Newcastle dry spell

Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse is remaining calm regarding his dry scoring start to the campaign.

The Senegal international has yet to hit the target this term after netting 13 goals in 14 outings last season and even though he fired a penalty over the crossbar in Sunday's 1-0 win over Norwich City, he is certain he will find form soon.

"I am still confident," he told a Senegalese newspaper. "I will open my scoring very soon and everything will be normal.

"It has become more difficult because defenders know what I can do since last January, so they pay more attention on me, but that opens doors for my good friend Demba Ba.

"The most important thing is to take three points. If we win and I do not score I am happy. To score myself is important but winning is more important for Newcastle."
