Chunnam to offer Ji pathway out of Sunderland

K-League club Chunnam Dragons are believed to be prepared to offer Ji Dong-won a chance to exit his unsuccessful Sunderland stint.

The 21-year old South Korean striker joined the Black Cats from Chunnam in June 2011 but has failed to live up to expectations in the Premier League and may be sold back to the Dragons for around £1million according to the Daily Star.

Sunderland paid £2million for Ji when Steve Bruce was at the helm but he has struggled for game time under Martin O'Neill, making just two appearances, and none yet this campaign.

German outfit Augsburg are also believed to be interested in the South Korea international.
