Chung-yong Lee desperate for Crystal Palace opportunity

Chung-yong Lee says that he is not happy with his current situation at Crystal Palace, and he wants to play more games.

Lee was denied a move in the transfer window because his teammates Bakary Sako and Wilfried Zaha suffered injuries. But he is not in the manager's immediate plans either.

It seems he is suffering at the moment, and he is hoping that he can get enough chances to show his quality so that he makes his country's World Cup squad for the summer competition.

"I need games. If I get a chance here at Palace, I have to make sure I am ready," he said.

"At the moment, it's February and I just want to give 100 per cent, train well and be ready for the next game.

"For me, I have been with the national team for around eight or nine years, and I have to help the South Korean team as well.

"I am one of the players with the most caps in the team, along with Ki Sung-yueng. So I have a high number of caps and it's my responsibility to help the team and my country.

"I have been in the national squad for a long time, I have experience and I have to help the younger players. I feel a responsibility.

"So the situation I have been in has been very difficult for me."
