Brighton's England Under-21 goalkeeper Christian Walton has agreed a new four-year contract.
Walton joined from hometown club Plymouth in 2013 and has made four first-team appearances for the Premier League newcomers.
He has represented England at under-19, under-20 and under-21 levels, winning his first cap for the latter against Bosnia and Herzegovina last October.
"We are delighted Christian has committed long term to the club, as he has a very bright future ahead," manager Chris Hughton told club's official website.
"He had two very good loan spells with Luton and Southend last season, which really benefited his ongoing development.
"Christian will go out on loan again this season, as he is at a stage in his career where he needs to be playing regular football to continue the excellent progress he has made."
