Chopra wants Newcastle legend Shearer as Ipswich manager

Ipswich Town striker Michael Chopra admits he would love to see Alan Shearer as manager of the club.

The Tractor Boys are searching for a new boss after Paul Jewell quit yesterday with the likes of Mick McCarthy and Alan Curbishley in the mix.

However, Chopra posted on Twitter that he would be honoured to work with former Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers star Shearer.

"I would love to see Alan Shearer as manager such a good person and worked, played under some great managers including Sir Bobby Robson," Chopra tweeted.
