Inter Milan are expected to step up their bid for Lazio defender Aleksandar Kolarov in the coming days.

Despite Inter president Massimo Moratti's claims that no new signings would follow former Lazio striker Goran Pandev's arrival, Kolarov is expected to move to the San Siro.

With Inter defender Cristian Chivu suffering a fractured skull, the signing of Kolarov has taken on greater importance.
