Chivu agent concedes likely Inter Milan departure

The agent of Cristian Chivu admits a move from Inter Milan is becoming increasingly likely.

The defender comes off contract in June.

“There is nothing new to report,” Victor Becali stated. “We’ve had no communication with Inter and no meeting has been planned with the Nerazzurri.

“There is still time to find a solution and we’ll see what the situation is in the summer. For now it is premature to say whether he will continue playing in Italy or move abroad.

“What is certain is that we haven’t been contacted by Real Madrid or their boss Jose Mourinho.

“The player is calm and relaxed. He has six months left on his contract and he’ll honour that by giving his best for the club.”
