MLS club Chivas USA are weighing up the option of parting with defender Jonathan Bornstein so they can gain Atlante forward Giancarlo Maldonado. Bornstein, currently in South Africa preparing for the World Cup with the USA, has been with Chivas since 2006 but the club is considering bringing in the Venezuelan international to add some power to their strike force.
Mexican outlet Reforma has reported that Chivas are seeking a trade deal so they can land Maldonado who has been at the Mexican club since 2007.
