Chivas USA have announced the signing of 26-year-old Serbian winger Bojan Stepanovic as an International Player. A versatile midfielder who joins Chivas USA from Serbian side FK Srem, Stepanovic has been training with the Red-and-White for nearly a month and is eligible to make his MLS debut in this Sunday's game at FC Dallas.
"Bojan Stepanovic is a solid offensive player who hits a good final pass and can play on either side of the field. He fits well with how we play here and we hope he will bring a lot of good qualities to our team," said Chivas USA Head Coach Preki Radosavljevic.
Born Jan. 11, 1983 in Belgrade, Serbia, Stepanovic joins Chivas USA from FK Srem of Serbia's First League (second division), where he played from 2007 to 2009. Earlier, Stepanovic played with Serbian First League club FK Vozdovac during 2005-06 season. Stepanovic is a product of the youth system of Belgrade side FK Radnicki Jugopetrol, the club for which he made his first-division debut during the 2004-05 Serbian Superliga season.
