Chivas USA announced on Friday that it has acquired Costa Rican midfielder/forward José Macotelo on loan from Puntarenas F.C. in Costa Rica.

Macotelo, 24, has received his P-1 work visa and International Transfer Certificate, and is eligible for the Red-and-White's Saturday match at Chicago. Per league and team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"José is a young and dynamic attacking player who can bring a lot the club," said Chivas USA Head Coach Martín Vásquez. "We're excited to have him join the team and look forward to seeing him in action."
