Chivas USA defender Michael Umana has been called up to the Costa Rican national team for next week's friendly with Paraguay.

The 28-year old has earned the call on the back of some good form with Chivas this season where he has started all 16 MLS matches, playing the most minutes at the club.

Umana will leave Chivas after their clash with Toronto FC on the weekend before returning on August 12, the day after the friendly.
