Chivas USA's Marcos Mondaini will miss the next four matches after he received a ban from MLS' Disciplinary Committee.
The 26-year old Argentine striker produced a very strong challenge from behind on Real Salt Lake's Javier Morales, leaving his fellow countryman with a fractured and dislocated ankle that is likely to see him sidelined for most of the season.
Reports suggest that Mondaini will also get a $1,250 fine for his involvement in the incident with the one-match automatic suspension for the red card he received being included in the four-match ban.
