Chivas USA have announced that they have re-signed goalkeeper Dan Kennedy to a new deal.
The 29-year old was voted as Chivas' Most Valuable Player for the 2011 season after making 32 regular season appearances as the Goats finished second bottom in the Western Conference.
Chivas general manager Jose Domene was delighted to hang onto Kennedy who joined the club in 2008.
"Dan was our MVP this year, there was never a doubt that we wanted him back," said Domene.
"His consistency and leadership both on and off the field were exemplary last season, and now moving towards the club's [Chivas USA] objectives for 2012 of building a championship caliber team, securing Kennedy to a new contract was one of our priorities this offseason."
