Chivas USA to meet Chivas Guadalajara in Mexico friendly

MLS outfit Chivas USA will take on sister club Chivas Guadalajara in a friendly in Ciudad Juarez later this month.

The Goats will meet their namesake on March 20 in the Chihuahua city with the match to benefit EDUCARE which is an institute designed to provide 'better educational opportunities to some of the most marginalized and violence-stricken communities in a city that has been ravaged by crime in the past few years.'

Both the Chivas clubs are owned by Mexican businessman Jorge Vergara and this will be the first time the two clubs have played each other since he took full control of the Los Angeles-based Chivas USA at the end of 2012.
