Chivas USA took time away from their preparations for this weekend's clash with the Kansas City Wizards to announce "Celebrate Hope".

"Celebrate Hope" is a diabetes awareness and wellness campaign, in partnership with City of Hope, a leading research, treatment and education institution for cancer, diabetes and other life threatening diseases.

The club welcomed several members of City of Hope's governing body, including Steve Martin, the vice president of marketing, and Dr. Arthur Riggs, Ph.D. and Dr. Fouad Kandeel, M.D., Ph.D., to announce the campaign.

"It's terrific for us to be involved with something like this with Chivas USA," said Martin.

"With all things we're going to do with season-long promotions and our ability to be associated with great players, we look forward to this being a long term partnership."
