Chivas USA excited about SuperClasico against LA Galaxy

The battle between Chivas USA and LA Galaxy, or the SuperClasico, is building up to be the biggest yet.

Chivas USA head coach Preki knows it is a big game and defender Jonathan Bornstein wants his teammates to turn their fortunes around after recent losses to the Galaxy.

"Our players are excited," said Preki. "It's a rivalry here and these are two teams that, when they step on the field, play hard against each other."

"Every year since Chivas started, we've always struggled against the Galaxy," Bornstein added. "Somehow we've always fallen short, but we've learned a lot from our mistakes in the past and we're ready to go. We'll have our fans behind us and we'll go out there and fight for everything."

Bornstein also touched on the transfer of Alecko Eskandarian to LA and had hopes of having his measure on the day.

"He's a great player," said Bornstein of Eskandarian. "We practiced against each other all year, but you can never say you know someone's game. I'm just looking forward to the battle that it's going to be and hopefully I can come out on top."
