Chivas USA defender Bornstein added to USA roster

Chivas USA defender Jonathan Bornstein has been added to the United States National Team roster by head coach Bob Bradley for the team's upcoming CONCACAF World Cup Qualifier against Trinidad & Tobago, taking place this Wednesday in Nashville, Tenn. Bornstein joined the team following Chivas USA's 2-0 win at FC Dallas on Sunday and will practice with the U.S. squad Monday afternoon.

Bornstein, who played 90 minutes for Chivas USA in its win over FC Dallas, has made 14 appearances with the United States National Team, and was in the squad for the U.S.'s 2-0 win over Mexico on Feb. 11. The 2006 MLS Rookie of the Year has one World Cup Qualifying cap to his credit, a start in the 2-0 win against Guatemala on Nov. 19, 2008, to close out the semifinal round. Chivas USA midfielder Sacha Kljestan started and played 72 minutes in the United States' most recent match, a 2-2 draw at El Salvador on Saturday.
