Chivas USA Head Coach Preki has announced the hiring of Carlos Llamosa, a World Cup veteran and MLS Cup winner, as the Red-and-White's new Assistant Coach. The Colombian-born Llamosa, who played in MLS from 1997-2007, including his final two seasons with Chivas USA, made 29 appearances with the United States National Team after gaining U.S. citizenship in 1998.

"We are happy to welcome Carlos Llamosa back to the Chivas USA family as part of our technical staff," said Preki. "I have coached and played with Carlos and I am confident he will bring to our group the same commitment, winning mentality and sharp eye for the game that led him to success in his playing career."
