Chivas USA boss Preki didn't want to use any excuses for his team's 4-0 loss away to New England Revolution. "I thought we came out pretty decent in the second half," Preki said. "The way we gave up that goal is really disappointing. We'll try to get it together for next week."
New England Revolution are battling to regain their overall top spot in the Eastern Conference with Chivas USA needing points for a play off berth in the west.
"I thought it was very poor play on our side because we had the numbers at the back," Preki said. "We just didn't deal with the situation in the right way as a unit."
With injuries playing such a large part of the Chivas USA season it would seem goals against really are the least of the manager's worries.
"After [the goal], it was an uphill battle," Preki said. "We were trying to do things and make plays, but we opened ourselves at the back. Losing 1-0 or 4-0 means the same thing."
