Chivas president Vergara tells Chelsea to make offer for Davila

Chivas de Guadalajara president Jorge Vergara insists Chelsea are yet to make an offer for striker Ulises Davila.

Chelsea are keen on the young striker, who would be signed by the London giants ahead of being loan to Holland's Vitesse Arnhem for the season.

Vergara says Chivas are prepared to consider Chelsea's offer, but are yet to be tabled anything concrete.

"There are many rumors, but we've received no bid," he said. "Chivas will not stop a player signing, but as yet nothing is in play. Chelsea have not yet bid."
