Australia international midfielder Scott Chipperfield hit a hat-trick for FC Basle in their 5-0 victory against Vaduz overnight. Chipperfield, who has been named in the Socceroos squad to take on Uzbekistan in Sydney on April 1, has now scored eight goals in the past five matches for Basel.

North Queensland Fury had tried to tempt Chipperfield to return to Australia to play in the A-League, but talks broke down earlier this month.
