The Socceroos are primed for an assault on Qatar in Wednesday’s World Cup qualifier in Brisbane.

Strike pair Josh Kennedy and Tim Cahill will be welcomed back into the line-up along with veteran defender Craig Moore, all players having not played for their country in eight months.

Celtic star Scott McDonald is expected to slot back into the eleven whilst last-match hero Scott Chipperfield is recovering from a recent heavy schedule but should be ready to go come match day.

“All those games take a bit out of you…I also picked up a knock to my back a couple of weeks ago, and it tightened up a bit on the flight. But it’s now been 10 days since the last game, so hopefully I’ll be 100% ready and raring to go,” he told The Age.
