Nathan Redmond believes that Southampton's Chinese takeover will be the next step towards progression for the Saints.

It has been confirmed recently that Chinese tycoon Jisheng Gao has bought 80 percent stake of Southampton for around £210m

And following the takeover of the club, winger Nathan Redmond believes that the new owners will push the club towards further progression in the coming years.

Redmond said: "Southampton is not a club that would bring in the wrong people or bad people, on the pitch or off the pitch.

"They're always looking to improve and get better and to take us forward to the next step will be key."
