Eurosport has secured the live pan-European rights to Chinese Super League soccer for two years, reports SportsPro. The broadcaster will screen matches from the league - and sub-license its rights - across 59 territories in the 2013 and 2014 seasons, while it will also cover the last three matchdays of the 2012 season on its Eurosport 2 network.
Interest in the Chinese Super League has grown in Europe with the signing of former Chelsea players Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka by Shanghai Shenhua.
The deal follows the announcement earlier this week of a ten-year strategic partnership between the league and CCTV-IMG, a joint venture between global agency IMG and Chinese state broadcaster CCTV.
