Chinese government to bankroll £59m move for Man Utd, Arsenal target Ibrahimovic

The Chinese government is determined to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the Chinese Super League.

According to The Sun, Chinese politicians are prepared to bankroll a proposed £59million pursuit of the Swedish superstar who is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

Ibrahimovic has been linked with a number of clubs in recent times with Manchester United believed to be at the top the list if they land the 34-year-old's former Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho this summer.

Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham United are all believed to be showing interest but China want to steal a march on the Premier League by offering him a lucrative two-year deal which would see him join the likes of Jackson Martinez, Ramires, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Alex Teixeira and Gervinho in the Far East.

Ibrahimovic's name has also fallen in the same circles as David Beckham with reports suggesting he is considering hooking up with the Old Trafford legend's Major League Soccer franchise in Miami in 2017, but he is expected to join another club prior to that mooted move.

The English top flight remains an option for Ibrahimovic but if these reports are to be believed, the Chinese government will do everything in their power to attract one of world football's biggest names in the coming months.
