China Everbright WILL make an offer for Liverpool.

Sky Sports says China Everbright – a state-backed group who value the Reds at £700m – want to invest in the Merseyside club.

The financial backing they would provide Liverpool with would likely be in the form of a partnership if current owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG) were open to the idea.

But American billionaire John W Henry is said to be adamant about retaining full control of Liverpool and is not prepared to listen to bids.

The Chinese group have been detailing a preliminary offer to cash-in on the market dominated by Manchester United and Manchester City.
