The Chinese national team has played out a 1-1 draw with South American nation Paraguay in Tianhe.

Bouncing back from their 2-0 loss to Iran on the weekend, China fell behind in the 7th minute when Paraguay's Lucas Barrios netted but they managed to fight back through Lin Gao who equalised in the 33rd minute.

Neither side could break the deadlock for the remainder of proceedings and China were able to record a draw for manager Gao Hongbo who put the acid on them prior to the game by asking for a marked improvement on the Iran disappointment.
