The ban placed on Chilean international Gonzalo Jara for provoking Uruguay's Edinson Cavani has been downgraded from three games to two.
Despite the downgrade, Mainz defender Jara will still miss the remainder of the 2015 Copa America as host nation attempts to win their first continental title.
"After hearing the appeal CONMEBOL decided to reduce the sanction ... to two games," South America's football governing organisation explained in a statement following Chile's appeal against the original sanction.
Jara, who was suspended for 'unsporting behaviour' after appearing to insert his finger into Cavani's rear end during Chile's quarter-final win over Uruguay.
Jara's fine was also cut from $7,500 (£4,700) to $5,000 (£3,100).
