Chile coach Jorge Sampaoli is targeting two of the Premier League's Argentines.
Both West Ham United striker Mauro Zarate and Leicester City centre-forward Leonardo Ulloa qualify for Chile, despite their Argentine background.
"As national coach I must be able to choose from a range of players who have the power to play due to the regulations and (Mauro) Zarate is one of them," said Sampaoli.
"The option continues and hopefully we can take advantage.
"Zarate has all the conditions to be part of our squad today."
Interestingly, QPR striker Edu Vargas has criticised his FA over their push to cap non-Chilean players.
