Chievo Verona goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino has revealed he came close to joining Juventus this summer.
Sorrentino says Chievo president Luca Campedelli priced him out of the transfer.
"Campedelli explained to me that for him I am among the top three Italian goalkeepers and whoever wants me must pay a big figure," Sorrentino told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"The President is like this. He is honest and straightforward, and his show of respect fills me with pride. I could have gone to Juve, Samp or Genoa, but I never look back. And I think that destiny will give me a greater joy in the future."
