It's emerged that Manchester City's biggest ally in their bid for Fiorentina striker Valeri Bojinov is Juventus fullback Giorgio Chiellini.

Chiellini is locked in talks with City about a move to the Premiership and Bojinov has told friends the Juve man has been on the phone urging him to join him at Eastlands this season, says Tuttosport.

The pair know eachother from being teammates at both Fiorentina and Juventus and Chiellini has told Bojinov the pair of them can have a great time at City under their new manager Sven Goran Eriksson.
