Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has urged the club to push through a deal for Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso.

"There are no doubts over Alonso," he told Sky Sport Italia. "He is a great player who could help us.

"There could be others like him but I'm sure that the club will bring in another great champion to allow us to make the leap of class needed to fight Milan, Inter and Roma."
