Giorgio Chiellini has signed a new contract with Juventus through to 2013.
"My hope is that I will be able to be Juventus captain," Chiellini enthused.
"At the moment there is Alessandro Del Piero and after him Gigi Buffon. As long as Gigi is playing he will be captain, but in the future it would be a great pleasure to follow him."
