Chicharito admits Man Utd success down to hitting gym

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez admits he needed to hit the gym when first arriving from Chivas.

Chicharito discovered early in his United career that he needed to bulk up to tackle the Premier League.

"When I arrived here in England last season the physios told me straight away I had to work to become more powerful," Chicharito told the Manchester Evening News.

"I had to improve my physique. I went into work every day last season early and worked on my body and that helped me a lot.

"The English league is more physical and I had to get better physically. I have improved in all areas. There is no player who is the perfect player.

"Every player needs to keep improving. I am 23 years old and I can still learn a lot. You look at Giggsy and he is 37 and he is still learning every year. That is the thing I have in my mind.

"I want to keep playing and learning from legends like Giggsy.

"There are no easy things in life and you have to learn and work to get better at things.

"The most important thing in my life and football is to enjoy."
