Chicago Fire have reportedly sold defender Bakary Soumare to French club Boulogne.
L'Equipe reported that the Mali international had joined the Ligue 1 outfit for an undisclosed fee following a heated exchange with Fire coach Denis Hamlett about three weeks ago.
It was believed that his departure was a foregone conclusion after busting up with Hamlett at half-time of the Fire's 3-2 loss to Houston Dynamo on August 9.
Soumare stated that after being left out of the squad following the incident he would never play for the Fire again and it seems his wish has been granted.
