MLS club Chicago Fire are still believed to be in talks with veteran midfielder Alou Diarra.
The 33-year old French defensive midfielder recently trialled with the Fire but is yet to sign a contract anywhere.
Diarra, who has previously played for Lens, Lyon, Bordeaux, Marseille and West Ham United, has been training with Championship side Charlton Athletic but Fire head coach Frank Yallop told reporters that talks are ongoing.
The Chicago Tribune reported that Yallop told the press after Sunday's 0-0 draw with Norwegian club Stabaek in the Simple Invitational in Portland that his club 'are still talking with the midfielder'.
