Chicago Fire sign keeper Nolly from Vancouver Whitecaps

Chicago Fire have secured the services of goalkeeper Jay Nolly from Vancouver Whitecaps.

The 29-year old will head to the Fire in exchange for a first-round pick in the 2013 Major League Soccer supplemental draft.

Nolly first joined MLS when drafted by Real Salt Lake ahead of the 2005 season before being traded to DC United in 2007.

He initially arrived at Vancouver when the Whitecaps were playing USL First Division in 2008 and made over 80 appearances before playing 14 times for the Canadian club in MLS in 2011.
