Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced Friday that the club has loaned Alec Kann to USL PRO side Charlotte Eagles.
The Fire will retain the option to recall Kann during the loan period.
"This is a good move for Alec to play meaningful matches and gain consistent minutes, which is important for any young player," said Chicago Fire Head Coach and Director of Soccer Frank Yallop. "To have this mechanism in place that allows our players these opportunities is invaluable."
The second-year "keeper has four reserve appearances this season, including two starts. Kann recorded shutouts in a 4-0 win over Marquette University on April 6 and a 0-0 draw against the Richmond Kickers on May 18.
