Chicago Fire have declined the option on veteran defender Gonzalo Segares along with two other players.
The 30-year old Costa Rica international has been made available for the 2012 MLS Re-Entry Draft and will be joined by goalkeeper Jay Nolly and midfielder Corben Bone.
Segares initially joined the Fire in 2005 and following his second stint at the club has appeared in close to 200 games for the Chicago outfit.
Nolly was picked up by Chicago at the end of 2011 in a trade with Vancouver Whitecaps but failed to make a first team appearance whilst 24-year old Bone was the Fire's first round selection (13th overall) in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft and went on to make 17 appearances.
