Chicago Fire rookie Kwame Watson-Siriboe is adapting well to life as a professional soccer player.
The 23-year old was taken at pick 26 in January's MLS SuperDraft and is currently in pre-season with the Fire which he says has been great so far.
It's been good," Watson-Siriboe told the Chicago Fire Confidential.
"(The players) are very accepting and welcoming towards me. Obviously it's a big change from college but it's a very good atmosphere to come into.
"The speed of play and also concentrating [are the biggest differences]," he added.
"When you get to the professional level you have to concentrate on each play because if you don't the opposition will capitalize. And then the speed of play is much faster. Getting used to playing one and two touch soccer can be very difficult."
Watson-Siriboe admitted that Fire veteran CJ Brown had become somewhat of a mentor to him and said he was keen to learn more about the game at the elite level so he can develop further.
"C.J. Brown has kind of taken me under his wing," said Watson-Siriboe said. "He's just been helping me out so I can advance to the next level.
"Hopefully I'll be getting better throughout the preseason," Watson-Siriboe said. "But it's a dream come true to be drafted and play in the professional ranks. I just want to learn and hopefully get some playing time."
