Chicago Fire have decided to waive defender Pari Pantazopoulos.
The 23-year old Greek-born American won the club's 2011 open tryout to win a professional contract but has now been released.
Pantazopoulos, who has played for Greek clubs Zakynthos and Aspropyrgos Enosis in the past, managed just one appearance for the Fire in a US Open Cup match last June.
