Chicago Fire have waived the contract of defenders Daniel Woolard and Austin Washington.
The pair were cut yesterday as the Fire looks to trim their playing roster and was confirmed by general manager Frank Klopas in a press release.
"We would like to thank Austin and Daniel for their contributions to the Chicago Fire and wish them both the best of luck in their future endeavours," the statement said.
Along with Woolard and Washington, the Fire cut a number of trialists including Mark Blades, Izzy Iriekpen, Jovan Bubonja, Pedro de la Rosa and Aremis Mercades to trim the squad to 28 but held on to other trialists Collins John, O'Brian Woodbine, Jamie Cuesta and Joao Baptista.
