Chicago Fire owner Andrew Hauptman has poured cold water over speculation that he is set to invest in English club Leeds United.

Recent reports have suggested that the Fire chairman, who owns Andell Holdings, was a possible overseas investor for the Yorkshire outfit but Hauptman has rubbished those claims.

"Nothing ceases to amaze me. No truth whatsoever," was his response to the Chicago Tribune when quizzed on the link.
